REBECCA SALZHAUER is a writer and actor from New York City. She graduated from Yale University with a BA in Theater & Performance Studies and Humanities. Rebecca is at home with new work, rich text, offbeat comedy, hyper-articulate characters, and plays that get weird and/or embrace theater magic.
Rebecca has worked on projects at Clubbed Thumb, Bay Street Theater, St. Lydia’s, The Tank, LaMaMa, Symphony Space, and Cape Fear Regional Theatre. She studied classical acting at the British American Drama Academy’s Midsummer in Oxford Program and is a proud alum of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.
Her writing has been published in The Forward, The New Haven Independent, and HowlRound Theatre Commons. She co-created and starred in the web series, i’m so happy for you!!!!! with her comedy trio, Stress Dream. Rebecca is a current member of The Actors Center’s Mentorship Cohort for Emerging Artists. She also does improv.
